About the Artist

Neda was born in 1991 in Skopje, then part of Yugoslavia, today North Macedonia.

She has been painting since kindergarten, always drawn to visual storytelling, color, and the quiet emotions carried through places and details. During her high school years, she held her first exhibitions featuring oil pastel works — the first medium that truly felt close to her heart because of its richness, texture, and expressive freedom.

Years later, during the uncertainty and stillness of the COVID period, she found peace in watercolor. What began as a personal process slowly became a way of turning uncertainty into beauty. The unpredictability of watercolor — the flowing pigments, soft accidents, and lack of complete control — became part of the emotional language of her work.

Today, she continues to paint in watercolor, oil pastels, and acrylic, often working in miniature formats to explore steadiness, patience, focused attention, and detail. Her love toward imperfection remains deeply present throughout her practice. The mediums she chooses rarely allow for full control — and that is precisely what draws her to them.

For her, giving up control can sometimes be one of the most powerful and beautiful creative acts.
